Shipping policy
Trail Teq is an Australian based business. Most products are made to order, and there is usually a small que of products every day. Please check the contact page for the latest production timeframes on our most common products.
All shipping prices quoted on our website are based on the rates as set by Australia Post or our partner courier DHL. Our shipping fees incorporate these shipping rates, plus a very small fee for packaging and handling expenses.
At checkout, we ask for an email and phone number. This data is only used for purposes related to your order (e.g. communicating with you directly regarding your order via email). Your phone number is only ever used in instances where a phone number is required by postal services (e.g. all International orders), or, when several attempts of email communication have gone unanswered and the matter is urgent.
Please note: All shipping time frames are estimates only, and are based on the average expected time frames as advertised by Australia Post.
Domestic Shipping Time Frames:
Standard: 2 to 8 Business Days
Express: 1 to 4 Business Days
International Shipping Time Frames:
Standard: 14 to 21 Business Days
Express: 7 to 14 Business Days
Important information for International customers:
- International customers must provide a contact mobile number as there is now a mandatory (legal requirement) to enter a valid contact mobile number on customs paperwork.
- Some countries charge customs or duty import fees. The customer is responsible for these fees should they apply*. These fees vary from country to country and we have no control over them or the amount that is charged. Customers should research and have an understanding of these fees prior to purchasing from Trail Teq or any Australian business.
*Note: United States customers have these charges built into the postage cost shown at checkout, which is a requirement under the current Australia - United States postage network. This does not apply to any other country.
- International customers are responsible for the address provided. Trail Teq is not responsible for packages sent to incorrectly entered addresses.
- International customers are responsible for any parcels that are returned to the sender, i.e. Trail Teq, due to not being signed for on delivery or due to customs fees not being paid for. Different countries have different rules regarding this. Trail Teq is not responsible for any costs involved in relation to customs fees, including any costs, delays or inconvenience that may arise from parcels being returned to Trail Teq due to non-paying of fees or tariffs. Please review your countries rules prior to purchasing international products.
Most postal carriers will attempt redelivery several times prior to returning to the sender, or leave the parcel at a post office for your collection. It is the customers responsibility to track their own parcel as Trail Teq does not receive notifications on your parcel once it has left Australia. Any parcels that are uncollected and returned to sender will need to be posted again at your expense.
- International standard postage includes tracking, but no signature requirement. Your item will typically be left at your door if you are not home.
- International express postage uses the EMS system, and a signature on delivery is mandatory. We cannot uncheck this option. If you are not home, you will need to schedule redelivery or pick your item up from your local post office.
- We are able to send parcels on alternative postal services (i.e. DHL or Fedex), however the customer must email Trail Teq prior to purchase so that we can quote you on this service correctly. In our experience, these services are typically in the range of $100-150 AUD which is up to five times more expensive.
